We do well for others. And pretty well for ourselves.
Relay Gear is proud to contribute to a variety of great causes. We believe that what goes around really does come back around, and so we like to think that the more we do for others, the better we do as a company. And that certainly appears to be the case.
Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
Relay Gear made apparel, clothing, and monetary contributions to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. An employee shopping event was organized and all proceeds were donated to the relief efforts.
Tyler Wright's First Annual Hats for Heroes Charity Hockey Challenge
Relay Gear donated merchandise for Tyler Wright's Hats for Heroes Charity Hockey Game. Over $25,000 was raised from this single event and all proceeds went to Tyler Wright's Hats for Heroes program which benefits local pediatric cancer programs in Central Ohio!
Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption
Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's International, created the Foundation in 1992 in support of the vision that every child deserves a permanent home and a loving family. Relay Gear donates a percentage of every Wendy's merchandise sale back to the Dave Thomas Foundation (DTFA). Also, the Lived Loved Bracelet was a created by Relay Gear, in cooperation with DTFA, and to date, the project has raised close to $25,000 for the DTFA's Wendy's Wonderful Kids program.
American Cancer Society's Relay For Life
Relay Gear donates a percentage of every Relay For Life merchandise sale back to back to American Cancer Society Relay For Life. And every time a pair of our exclusive Relay For Life Adidas shoes are sold, $10.00 goes back to the organization. Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Relay Gear also provides their own Relay Team at the local relay events in Ohio bi-annually.
